After completing my Masters from Europe, I joined IndSight Growth Partners which provided me an excellent opportunity to work in India for European multinationals. At IndSight we used to work in small teams with close client coordination which made the projects quite engaging all the times. The best part at IndSight was the varied nature of assignments which helped me to learn several aspects of doing business and develop problem solving capabilities. Skills I acquired at IndSight helped me to find my next role in Strategy in a completely different set of business & cultural environment. I believe IndSight is a great place to work if you want build a career in Strategy & Consulting!  

 

I found IndSight to be the perfect place for me to kick-start my career in business strategy. From day one, I was handed responsibilities at IndSight, which required me to work closely with clients throughout the project lifecycle; from drafting proposals to delivering final presentations and recommendations. This not only provided me with the opportunity to gain deep insights and exposure of working on exciting projects across diverse industries but also enriched me with various experiences to grow professionally and personally. Due to the boutique nature of the firm, I worked directly under the partner, who mentored me relentlessly being fully invested in my learning and development throughout my time at IndSight and beyond. At IndSight, I learnt immensely from getting thrown into challenging situations that often required me to wear different hats and use different capabilities to serve individual client requirements tailored to their needs and expectations.

Thinking structurally to break complex problems into solvable pieces is the greatest asset I took away from my time at IndSight in terms of core skill set enhancement. Technical knowledge that I gained from gathering, creating and evaluating datasets from multiple sources, and being able to present it as a story for the clients while maintaining the technical integrity involved in it’s analysis are invaluable additions to my professional profile that I have IndSight to thank for. Small team structures with large project execution responsibilities enabled me to enhance my skills for effective project management and leadership qualities. I often worked on multiple projects at the same time, which trained me at multitasking, prioritization, time management and discipline to consistently meet deadlines. At IndSight, no two days or clients were similar

I currently work for the Boston Consulting Group in Casablanca, Morocco, and I certainly count my internship at IndSight among those experiences that helped me out the most in orientating my career choices. During my days in Delhi, I learnt the job of a consultant and discovered the amazing challenges and learning opportunities it confronts you with, especially within fast-growing economies like India. This awareness was a fundamental contributor to my choice of pursuing a consulting career in emerging markets. At the same time, I had the chance to work on a diverse set of tasks for IndSight’s clients, from competition profiling, to data analysis and designing presentations to showcase my results. This allowed me to take on great responsibility and boosted my analytical and presentation skills, while benefitting from the guidance of an experienced and driven mentor like Sumeet. I am truly thankful for this precious learning experience and would definitely recommend an internship at IndSight as a solid base to start with, wherever your career path might lead you in the future.
